Heading out, we hike/ride/paddle/Jeep to "the spot" you've chosen to commit your forevers to each other. ...I believe following our desire for an adventurous, intimate ceremony in the desert would have spoken much more to who we are as a couple. And knowing what I know now, following up with a family party would have been a great way to bring it all back together with those we love most.
This experience was a learning that fuels my desire to support couples like you who also believe in something more for their wedding. Your story is what matters, and you deserve a wedding that shows it beautifully.
Looking back, our day was beautiful, but...
...My husband, Pete, and I wanted to do a "geocache" wedding, dropping only the date + GPS coordinates to our favorite Utah desert spot to a few lovingly selected guests. Ultimately, we ended up having a larger outdoor ceremony at home in Wisconsin, and incorporated our love of adventure with a backpacking honeymoon into the Grand Canyon with some of our besties :-)
And, I know what it's like to want to include adventure...
My experience has been more traditional wedding ceremonies can feel like what's expected... Where do we get encouragement that there are other options that are just as (or more!) beautiful AND allow us to be true to who we are & value experience and not things?
Why am I SO passionate about Adventure Weddings & Elopements?
For you to have an amazing, 100% YOU wedding experience more easily, with waaaaaay less stress & more fun and meaning than you ever imagined possible!
But what if you don't care about seating charts, chair garlands, guest gifts or bridesmaid dressing gowns? Where's the planning info for couples that want to go climb, kayak, backpack, or something else "adventure-leaning" for their wedding?!? That's where I come in!
Organized & adventurous, my life of camping, cycling, climbing, backpacking, kayaking, traveling and so much more has taught me to explore the outdoors happily & safely, and to look ahead & how to prep us for the "what ifs". And, my ~20 year corporate career in Corporate Special Projects taught me how to come into any situation and create a plan + clear next steps to make seemingly-impossible things happen for you with style.
All that combined means that from our very first call together, you have a one-stop-shop guide + partner + cheerleader helping you design your wedding adventure from the first ideas, through supporting & documenting your amazing adventure, out to delivering the album showing your story at the very end. My goal?
